About the Role

New Berlin Hills Golf Club, a Troon facility, is seeking a part-time Mechanic to contribute to a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property organization. This role involves maintaining and repairing golf course equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an effective preventive maintenance program to reduce mechanical failure and poor performance on all golf course equipment.
• Repairs all equipment and golf carts.
• Keeps repair and maintenance records on all equipment.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical problems for all maintenance equipment.
• Sets heights and sharpens blades on the cutting units.
• Makes cuts, welds, and brazes as needed in repairing equipment and mowing units.
• Conducts price comparisons on all related parts and materials before ordering.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and efficient shop area.
• Maintains an adequate supply of parts through requisitions to the Purchasing Manager.
• Monitors gas and fuel levels in storage tanks.
• Ensures proper disposal of all related hazardous materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Must have prior mechanical experience, including experience with small engines and mowers.
• Must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starter.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Skills

• Knowledge of small engine repair.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to inspect equipment and related components.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
