About the Role
Join our security team at a busy receiving warehouse and distribution center supporting the delivery of medical supplies. We are looking for a dependable and professional Security Officer who can help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment for employees, vendors, drivers, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility
- Check employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel entering and exiting the property
- Monitor receiving and distribution activity
- Maintain awareness of warehouse operations, loading areas, and parking areas
- Conduct security patrols and routine inspections
- Assist with maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors
- Respond professionally to security incidents and emergencies
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs
- Enforce site security policies and procedures
- Provide professional customer service while interacting with employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors
Requirements
- Reliable and dependable with strong attendance
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout a 12-hour shift
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment
- Ability to interact professionally with employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors
- Previous security, warehouse, logistics, or access control experience is a plus
- Valid NYS Security Guard License preferred/required based on assignment
