About the Role
Wenzel's is seeking a Shop Supervisor to join their team. This role involves preparing fresh food products, providing excellent customer service, and assisting the Shop Manager with daily operations. The position offers opportunities for career progression and development within the company.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and create an inviting experience.
- Receive and check daily deliveries.
- Assist with the management of branch stock and produce.
- Maintain shop displays.
- Have excellent knowledge and understanding of products.
- Prepare food in line with the specification.
- Perform food and produce quality control.
- Maintain the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Work efficiently within a team.
- Handle cash and operate the till.
- Open or close the shop when required.
- Run shifts at various times during the week.
- Drive sales and minimize wastage.
- Assist the Shop Manager with the day-to-day running of the store.
- Supervise the team.
- Ensure business growth through increasing sales, controlling costs, and delivering profit.
- Develop and lead the shop team to build a loyal customer base.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment at supervisory level is required.
- Experience working in food production would be advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided.
