About the Role
Join a supportive and child-focused Looked After Children Team in London Borough Of Bexley. You will manage a varied caseload, conduct reviews, and champion the voice of the child to secure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of children in the local authority's care.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
- Ensure children’s placements are safe, stable, and supportive.
- Promote the child’s health, education, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring access to appropriate services.
- Maintain regular contact with children through statutory visits and direct work.
- Prepare and present reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
- Work closely with birth families, carers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
- Support children through transitions, including reunification, adoption, or leaving care.
- Advocate for the child’s voice in all aspects of planning and decision-making.
Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
