About the Role
Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Project Manager for the Network and Collections Transformation team. This role is crucial to Canadian Blood Services' mission as Canada's Lifeline. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, management, and execution of projects within the Infrastructure Program, collaborating with the Capital Planning and Development team to deliver new, operational facilities with validated systems, equipment, and regulatory approvals. Responsibilities include ensuring robust transition plans and team readiness for new working environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project plans for complex, multi-year projects within defined project management standards and quality system requirements.
- Work with the project team to effectively accomplish project goals and objectives.
- Monitor and document the overall project plan and budget, ensuring projects meet timelines, targets, and expectations.
- Provide regular project status updates to key partners.
- Coordinate project team, internal, and external partners to develop project plans, define deliverables, establish roles, timelines, training strategies, implementation and evaluation strategies, risk management, costs, transition, and close-out plans.
- Make recommendations for leadership review regarding project deliverables, costs, and timelines that impact other business areas.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate substantial risks with implications beyond the project.
- Collaborate with colleagues to navigate stakeholder communications, remove barriers, and facilitate change management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including progressive project management experience and/or training.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and interpret business needs.
- Ability to communicate in clear and concise language.
- Ability to develop integrated, creative solutions.
- Proven ability to build and manage professional relationships.
- Ability to deal with senior management and external stakeholders.
