Responsibilities
- Operates lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines, duplicating and profile machines, and specialty Faro Laser Machines.
- Works from drawings and written instructions.
- Requires knowledge of various metals and machining measurements.
- Determines dimensions and tolerances of pieces to be machined.
- Inspects machined work pieces for conformance.
- May provide technical leadership and assist in training less experienced machinists.
- Performs daily maintenance checks on machines.
- Other work may be assigned at Management’s discretion.
Requirements
- High School or Equivalent.
- 5 - 8 years of related work experience.
- Crane/Forklift Certification (in-house training provided).
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Proper use of Safety Equipment including safety boots, hard hat, fall protection, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
- Proper use of tools: Inside and Outside Micrometers, Depth Micrometer, Calipers, Bore Gages, and Other General Hand Tools.
