About the Role

As a Senior Sales Trader, you will execute the strategy of the Equity Distribution business, execute trades, and provide advisory market content in your relevant product/sector/market, aligning with the Function’s trading strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all internal policies and external/regulatory frameworks.
  • Record transactions and prepare related statistical reports.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with brokers.
  • Maintain knowledge of trading strategies and meet performance targets.
  • Manage trading positions within authorized limits, monitor limit utilization, and ensure accurate trade capture.
  • Partner with relevant internal functions and manage key internal and external relationships.
  • Represent the Bank/Function at relevant industry forums.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Create and deliver high-value added financial analysis to targeted clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to cross-sell bank products.
  • Provide input on the strategic direction of the group and professional development of team members.
  • Develop and cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively to offer multiple products and solutions to clients.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance on setting project initiatives, executing pitches, ensuring successful transactions, and developing junior team members.
  • Identify issues, gaps, and process improvements through open communication and productivity monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and guidelines to mitigate risk.

Requirements

  • Significant network and experience within the arena with extensive, in-depth product and market knowledge.
  • Proven track record of independently and proactively servicing multiple clients and effectively managing multiple priorities, while generating significant revenue.
  • Strong commercial acumen: understanding client/market problems, proactively tackling challenges and seizing opportunities.
  • Proven ability to coach and encourage a diverse team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to understand broad business issues, their potential implications and to make sound business recommendations.
  • Dynamic, agile, highly motivated.
  • Able to navigate, adapt and thrive in a constantly changing/evolving global bank.
