Responsibilities
- Understand clients' needs, expectations, business, industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values, and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
- Develop an understanding of the RSM audit approach and tools.
- Assess risks and evaluate the client's internal control structure.
- Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
- Draft financial statements under prescribed formats.
Requirements
- 90 credit hours completed.
- Working towards a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Accounting Major.
- Travel to assigned client locations is required.
- Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively on a team.
- Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Experience Level
- Entry-level candidates requiring sponsorship are not eligible for hire.
Education Level
- Working towards B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from accredited university
- Accounting Major
Salary/Compensations
- $34 - $40 per hour
