About the Role

As our Group & Events Executive at St. Pancras London, your responsibility is to maximize opportunities to sell conferences, functions, events, and groups within both corporate and social segments. You will actively convert incoming leads, collaborate with Sales & Marketing on demand-generating initiatives, and serve as the primary contact between clients and the hotel throughout the booking process. This includes initial inquiry, contracting, event coordination, and billing. You will effectively communicate client requirements to relevant departments, lead and manage large-scale events, and ensure adherence to company policies and legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate event & groups details verbally and in writing to the customer and hotel operations, following up with the customer post-event.
  • Manage group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups and/or events.
  • Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts.
  • Proactively identify and solve operational challenges associated with groups & events with hotel staff and the customer.
  • Ensure correct contracts and administration are completed and filed for quick access to client information.
  • Utilize Opera catering & PMS system to manage sales & account relationships and catering/group/banqueting bookings, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date forecasted revenue.
  • Ensure all diary entries are current with booking status, date booking taken, client details, telephone contact, and activities.
  • Maintain an efficient and organized filing policy for all inquiries, options, and confirmed bookings.
  • Follow all hotel and company policies and procedures.
  • Understand the overall market, including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand, and sell accordingly.
  • Build unit’s top line revenue by focusing on post-contractual sales of products and services, up-selling contracted products, and identifying additional revenue opportunities.
  • Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close business and negotiate contracts.

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Previous experience in Event Management.
  • Experience in hospitality.
