About the Role
As a Host/ess of Booking Office 1869 at St. Pancras, you are responsible for delivering the warmest of five-star welcomes in our food & beverage outlets. Your role is crucial in shaping the guest experience through attentive yet relaxed service, where personality and professionalism are delivered in equal measures. You will also handle reservation systems, guest inquiries via phone and email, and provide information on pricing, products, and menus.
Responsibilities
- Maintain product (food & beverage), menu, operational, and service knowledge.
- Understand overall hotel operations to recognize your role in the wider guest experience.
- Proactively learn about menu items and service standards.
- Ensure consistent service delivery for guests on all visits.
- Possess knowledge of Health, Safety, and Hygiene standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of reservation systems and computer software.
- Exhibit excellence in spoken and written English for guest communication.
- Attend monthly departmental meetings and 1:1s.
- Maintain an exceptionally high standard of five-star luxury lifestyle service within The Booking Office, Hansom Lounge, and MI+ME.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and on-brand attitude, grooming standard, body language, and tone.
- Deliver service to your full potential.
- Receive a portion of the service charge from guests for extraordinary service.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all F&B equipment and areas.
- Carry out other duties as required to ensure proper F&B and hotel operation for a total guest experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of standards and procedures.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering excellence in customer service.
