About the Role
This 10-week quantitative strategy development summer internship program is based in Dublin, Ireland, and London. It's a computationally intensive role where you'll use strong technical skills to solve problems at the intersection of trading, quant, and technology. You will gain education on market workings, explore financial markets, and work on challenging projects in signal creation, quantitative strategy analysis, and low latency C++ strategy development alongside senior developers.
Responsibilities
- Solve problems at the intersection of trading, quant, and technology.
- Gain education about how markets work through deep dives into financial markets and Susquehanna's trading approach.
- Work on challenging projects for trading strategy development teams.
- Engage in signal creation and detection projects.
- Participate in quantitative strategy analysis projects.
- Contribute to low latency C++ strategy development projects.
- Collaborate with senior developers on complex trading strategy development.
Requirements
- Master's or bachelor's student in their penultimate year of study, majoring in a quantitative and/or STEM discipline (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, data science).
- Intend to graduate and begin full-time employment by August 2028.
- Strong software development skills in Python and a compiled language.
- Experience and comfort working with data using libraries such as Pandas, Polars, or NumPy.
- Exceptional quantitative, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.
- Ability to use clear and sound reasoning to solve problems.
- Rational approach to problem-solving using numbers and data.
- Legally eligible to work in Ireland and the UK.
- Must be available for the 10-week program from late June to late August.
