About the Role
LGT Wealth Management UK LLP is seeking an IT Application Support professional to resolve incidents, problems, and service requests efficiently. The role involves maintaining IT applications, liaising with suppliers, monitoring performance, and implementing changes while adhering to ITIL practices. This position requires a customer-focused individual with strong technical and communication skills, operating within the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
- Resolve IT application-related incidents, problems, service requests, assignments, and periodical tasks in a timely and efficient manner in line with Business requirements and ITIL practices.
- Employ appropriate application maintenance, support, and incident management processes and procedures.
- Provide timely communication to users on the status of their incidents and requests.
- Liaise with IT suppliers to ensure IT application-related incidents and problems are resolved professionally.
- Undertake IT application-related problem diagnosis, implementing resolution or prevention measures.
- Monitor the availability, performance, and throughput of supported IT applications.
- Prioritize and schedule assigned support activities and tasks.
- Maintain IT application support technical documentation.
- Participate in disaster recovery activities.
- Provide ad-hoc training to fellow support staff and end-users on supported applications.
- Implement, test, and monitor required IT application changes, including software releases, in line with the Change Enablement Process.
- Ensure capacity, availability, security, and service support requirements are considered in all IT application changes.
- Understand and comply with IT organization requirements, processes, procedures, and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your line manager.
- Work outside of normal business hours including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
Requirements
- Experience supporting Figaro (essential).
- Experience supporting Salesforce (preferred).
- Experience supporting SQL Server Management Studio (preferred).
- Experience supporting Objectif Lune PlanetPress (preferred).
- Experience supporting INVU Document Management (preferred).
- Experience supporting WhereScape/Data Warehouse (desirable).
- Experience applying software release management techniques.
- Experience completing application testing.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role in the financial services sector.
- Experience working in an ITIL aligned environment.
- Experience with an IT Service Management tool such as Service Now, JIRA or IVANTI.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to produce clear written material and communicate technical information understandably to non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer focused and goal oriented with keen attention to detail.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to follow tasks through to completion.
- Ability to effectively engage with third party suppliers, including allocating work and resolving issues.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.
- Ability to understand and determine when issues should be escalated.
- Open to new ideas and change initiatives, with an ability to modify the current approach.
