About the Role

Argo Group has an opportunity for an Account Manager in their Construction, Owners line of business. This position supports the underwriting function through customer service, transaction processing, and data analysis, playing a pivotal role in delivering customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process account inquiries, complex endorsement requests, and changes within established service standards.
• Utilize and follow internal guidelines, authority, and procedures for accurate and compliant work transactions.
• Conduct underwriting file analysis, identifying necessary forms and endorsements.
• Assist underwriters with their duties to enhance division performance.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with underwriters, customers, and business partners.
• Setup rating, issue binders, and send out quotes on behalf of underwriters.
• Interact with brokers to follow up on information and address inquiries.
• Review and analyze inspection reports, following up with brokers on observations affecting coverage.
• Participate in assigned projects and duties.
• Attend broker visits when appropriate.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree preferred.
• General knowledge of commercial insurance strongly preferred.
• Ability to function effectively in a time-sensitive and high-volume environment.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing direction, adjusting priorities, and working on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
• Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with agent/broker workforce.
• Must display a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to travel on a minimal basis.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Albany and Chicago Pay Range: $26.92/hr - $37.71/hr
