About the Role
Dispatchers play a vital role in keeping our operations safe, reliable, and on schedule. You’ll be responsible for coordinating bus routes, ensuring on-time performance, and supporting drivers and monitors with frontline communication.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch buses, monitor route performance, and communicate real-time updates to drivers.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, tracking attendance, vehicle status, and route adjustments.
- Support a “Safety First” culture—broadcast daily messages and collaborate with safety personnel.
- Assign drivers and monitors to routes and assist with the route bid process.
- Coordinate with the shop team on preventive maintenance, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Manage phone inquiries and provide timely follow-up to customer and driver requests.
- Perform additional administrative or operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (commercial vehicle license preferred)
- 2+ years of relevant experience (dispatch, terminal operations, or driving)
- Proficiency with computers and radio dispatch systems
- Ability to multitask and work under time constraints
- English proficiency required for training, safety communications, company policies, employment documents, and other job-related communications.
