About the Role
Liberty Resources is seeking a compassionate Youth Specialist to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (Youth ACT) team. This role provides community-based behavioral health services to help youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) build skills for success at home, school, and in their communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide community-based rehabilitative and supportive services to youth and families.
- Deliver services in home, school, and community settings.
- Support treatment goals through engagement, skill-building, and recovery-focused interventions.
- Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Participate in crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization efforts.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with OMH, Medicaid, and agency standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience working with youth and families in behavioral health or human services.
- Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.
