About the Role
As a Frontend Software Engineer Freelancer, you will shape the user experience of tools powering GROPYUS' automated planning and production processes. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver new features for our 3D parametric visualization and configuration platform, focusing on evolving frontend experiences with React, integrating 3D visualization using Three.js, and creating intuitive workflows for complex building data. You will join a collaborative team transforming building design and manufacturing through software engineering, automation, and 3D technology.
Responsibilities
- Evolve frontend experiences using React.
- Integrate interactive 3D visualization capabilities using Three.js and internal canvas-based libraries.
- Create intuitive workflows for users to interact with complex building data and parametric models.
- Collaborate closely with backend services.
- Occasionally contribute to API development.
- Translate product and design requirements into robust, user-friendly solutions.
- Integrate frontend applications with GRPC APIs and backend services.
- Implement or extend backend endpoints when needed.
- Work with design systems and collaborate closely with Product Designers.
- Test, debug, and maintain production-grade applications.
Requirements
- Self-employed/contractor setup for taxation purposes.
- Strong experience with React and modern TypeScript-based frontend development.
- Experience building complex, interactive web applications with a focus on usability and performance.
- Hands-on experience with Three.js or other 3D web technologies.
- Experience working with HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, or similar visualization frameworks.
- Comfortable working across the stack when needed.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, component design, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with testing, debugging, and maintaining production-grade applications.
