About the Role
Performs a wide variety of basic credit and collection functions, reviewing and monitoring credit sources, credit files, customer applications, and delinquent accounts. Obtains required information from credit organizations, banks, and loan associations, and maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts, and incomplete files.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and monitors credit sources, credit files, customer applications and delinquent accounts.
- Obtains required information from credit organizations, banks and loan associations.
- Maintains records on credit risks, delinquent accounts and incomplete files.
- Mails follow-up letters to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
- Confers with customers by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, and reviews terms of sales, service, or credit contract with customer.
- Receives and posts payments on customer accounts.
- Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts.
- Sorts and files correspondence.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited).
- 4 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access.
