About the Role

CBS Newspath is seeking an MMJ/Reporter to join our news team in Las Vegas. This role involves pitching story ideas, gathering news, writing, producing, and presenting stories for TV and digital platforms. You will also report live during affiliate newscasts, including breaking news, and shoot/edit interviews.

Responsibilities

• Pitch daily story ideas, gather news and information for various platforms including TV and digital
• Work with producers and news managers on developing, researching, investigating, writing, producing, and presenting stories as needed for both TV and digital platforms
• Present completed news stories that are accurate, journalistically sound, fair and balanced
• Report live during affiliate newscasts in cities around the country, including breaking news as needed
• Shoot, edit, coordinate, manage, conduct, and video record interviews
• Build contacts for developing impactful original stories
• Flexibility with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MSJ/ Television Reporter Experience
• Proven interview skills
• A valid driver’s license
• Minimum 5 years' experience writing, producing and desktop editing
