About the Role

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity focused on client-centered, functional therapy in real-world settings. This role offers an autonomous and flexible schedule within a collaborative team, emphasizing neurorehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
  • Re-assess treatment plan effectiveness, attend staffing meetings, and participate in family conferences.
  • Conduct discharge evaluations, provide recommendations for home and community safety, and offer referral and education resources.
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and improve patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move, lift, or transfer patients up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
  • Requires fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods.
  • Requires frequent pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning.
  • May require a health screen or examination to verify physical capability for assigned duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
