About the Role
The Customer Service Associate provides day-to-day property management, including marketing, maintenance, and administration, to ensure an excellent resident experience and achieve occupancy and retention goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional resident living by supporting team members.
- Create a positive and memorable experience for residents.
- Provide comprehensive front-of-house customer service, anticipating and exceeding resident expectations.
- Respond to customer queries and complaints, taking appropriate action.
- Support community events and activities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with University clients.
- Develop and maintain local knowledge resources relevant to resident needs.
- Complete administrative tasks including logging maintenance requests, filing, preparing notices, and updating databases.
- Undertake marketing activities such as attending open days and leafleting.
- Carry out sales and leasing activities including viewings, following up on enquiries, and sales conversions.
- Assist with summer community preparations, including move-in and move-out processes.
- Complete Health and Safety compliance activities.
- Participate in an on-call roster for out-of-hours emergency support.
- Chase outstanding rent arrears following rent collection procedures.
- Promote tenancy extensions and other revenue streams.
- Raise purchase orders in accordance with procedures.
- Ensure tenant refunds are completed in a timely manner.
- Maximize utility efficiency.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with databases or booking systems (training provided for in-house systems).
- Knowledge and understanding of UK Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
- Ability to act autonomously, making decisions and/or taking action when required.
- Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Numerical skills necessary to complete activities.
- Self and culturally aware, able to adapt relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Enthusiasm to deliver exceptional experiences and continuously improve knowledge.
