About the Role
The Roller-Skating Attendant is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, and functional operation of the roller-skating area. This casual position assists with roller skating operations, including cleaning and maintaining the arena, supervising the rink during public skating, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the area around the rink and enforce roller skating rules.
- Sweep the floor thoroughly after and during scheduled skate programs.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment during all skates.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the Facility Coordinator or Recreation Supervisor.
- Follow maintenance checklist and keep accurate records of work done.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive and professional attitude.
- Complete all required paperwork and reports, including accident, vandalism, and customer incident reports.
- Demonstrate commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression, and human rights.
- Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Health and Safety legislation and programs.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in line skating or roller skating is required.
- Standard or Intermediate First Aid and CPR C certification required prior to employment.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC) required prior to employment.
