About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HGV Technician to join our Aftermarket team. This hands-on role involves maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
- Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections
- Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
- Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems
- Liaise professionally with customers and work independently at customer sites
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards
- Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required
- Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including overtime
- Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus

Salary/Compensations
- between £41,277.60 - £48,929.40 pa DOE
