About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the Team at Galliford Try. This role offers the chance to manage and procure sub-contract packages, gain experience, and progress towards becoming a senior surveyor.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of tender allowances
- Measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts
- Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting interim valuations in accordance with those dates
- Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
- Subcontract and Design Procurement
- Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
- Assisting with Cost Value Reconciliations
- Preparation of cost to complete
- Cash management and maximisation
- Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
- Provision of standard reports
- Assisting with Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines
Requirements
- Experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically on Design and Build
- Sound knowledge of JCT Contract
- Familiarity with JCT
- Experience in managing and procuring various trade sub-contract packages
- Required to assist within the Main Contract Valuation and the Monthly Cost reports
