About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the Team at Galliford Try. This role offers the chance to manage and procure sub-contract packages, gain experience, and progress towards becoming a senior surveyor.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of tender allowances
• Measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts
• Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting interim valuations in accordance with those dates
• Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
• Subcontract and Design Procurement
• Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
• Assisting with Cost Value Reconciliations
• Preparation of cost to complete
• Cash management and maximisation
• Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
• Provision of standard reports
• Assisting with Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines

Requirements

• Experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically on Design and Build
• Sound knowledge of JCT Contract
• Familiarity with JCT
• Experience in managing and procuring various trade sub-contract packages
• Required to assist within the Main Contract Valuation and the Monthly Cost reports
