About the Role
Join a high-end, rapidly growing bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and architectural joinery manufacturer. They manage premium projects across residential and commercial sectors from a modern, state-of-the-art facility, utilizing advanced HOMAG CNC machinery, beam saws, edgebanders, CAD software, and traditional craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Operate, set up, load, and unload CNC woodworking machinery safely and efficiently according to production schedules.
- Set up and run 5-axis CNC Machine Centres and beam saws for panel sizing and complex component machining.
- Read and interpret production drawings, cutting lists, machining documentation, and works orders.
- Select, install, and replace appropriate tooling, cutters, and CNC programmes.
- Monitor machining operations and measure finished components to verify compliance with drawings, tolerances, and quality standards.
- Carry out routine machine inspections, daily maintenance checks, and housekeeping.
- Identify and report machining defects, programme errors, or tooling faults promptly.
- Collaborate closely with Design, CNC Programming, Bench Joinery, and Production teams.
- Comply strictly with all Company Health & Safety policies, machine operating procedures, and safe systems of work.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience setting up and operating 5-axis CNC Machine Centres and beam saws.
- Confident in reading technical joinery drawings, cutting lists, and production paperwork.
- Competent in CNC tooling selection, cutter changes, and routine machine maintenance.
