About the Role

The Slot Attendant is a key customer service provider on the casino floor, responsible for creating an exciting environment and delivering World Class Service with Old-World Hospitality and Charm. This role involves servicing guests, building relationships, paying jackpots, exchanging currency, signing up new players, and performing minor machine repairs while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide gracious, kind, and warm service to create an exciting environment and World Class Service.
  • Deliver Old-World Hospitality and Charm to casino guests.
  • Service and build relationships with guests.
  • Pay hand-pay jackpots.
  • Exchange currency.
  • Execute player's club signups.
  • Perform minor repairs on slot machines.
  • Ensure compliance with approved procedures for slot areas.
  • Protect company assets by adhering to company policies and all state and regulatory compliance.
  • Be punctual to pre-shift meetings with a positive attitude and participate openly.
  • Provide service with energy and professionalism.
  • Know and deliver the company core values.
  • Maintain electronic components, systems, and peripherals of gaming machines.
  • Ensure gaming devices are operating properly.
  • Place prompt calls for technical or supervisory assistance when necessary.
  • Actively promote and issue player's cards and reprint cards upon request, meeting set goals for signups.
  • Change ticket paper, write up jackpot forms correctly, read pay table information, and recall vital game histories.
  • Handle guest relations and minor guest disputes.
  • Notify shift supervisor of irregularities in customers' play.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service.
  • Effectively handle customer concerns and requests.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of all company information.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Obtain required license(s).
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Maintain knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department.
  • Maintain knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Take appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing by any Team Member that they have knowledge of.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Possess professionalism and ability to handle high levels of stress.
  • Must be flexible with all different schedules.
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos.

Skills

  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use an “in ear” communication device for radio communications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Casino Environment with low lighting, noise/loud music, and multiple distractions while multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours.
  • Physically mobile with the ability to move around all work areas effectively and efficiently with reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces or crowded conditions.
  • Ability to clean and sanitize all gaming equipment on the Slot floor.
  • Provide a clean gaming area for both internal and external guests.

Salary/Compensations

  • $24.39-$27.10/hour
