About the Role
Cancer Research UK (CRUK) is seeking a Clinical Data Manager for their Centre for Drug Development (CDD) on a 24-month fixed-term contract. The CDD focuses on early-phase and precision medicine clinical trials in oncology agents, offering a dynamic work environment with a broad portfolio. This role is an opportunity to join a small team of Data Management professionals and contribute to the DETERMINE trial, a multi-drug, precision medicine platform trial in rare cancers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the data management of assigned arms of the DETERMINE trial.
- Review clinical trial data, ensuring effective and efficient data cleaning and highlighting data quality issues.
- Manage the development or amendment of clinical trial databases, including reviewing eCRFs, specifying edit checks, and performing validation.
- Facilitate data reporting by managing the specification and validation of data listings and tables, coding adverse event terms, and reconciling serious adverse events.
- Monitor data entry and data cleaning status, locking data when appropriate to protect data integrity.
- Work to achieve key performance indicators and project goals.
Requirements
- Biomedical science graduate, nursing qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of clinical data management and drug development, working to ICH/GCP and relevant legislation.
- Good knowledge and previous use of an electronic data capture (EDC) clinical trial database.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture.
- Good planning and organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage multiple competing tasks whilst working to challenging timelines.
- Experience of working on oncology trials is desirable.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
