About the Role
Responsible for overseeing the execution of rebar projects from the set-up phase through completion. Identifies key barriers and applies problem-solving skills to complex situations, making decisions under uncertainty. May oversee project completion and contribute to employee development.
Responsibilities
- Provide total contract management of each project assigned, including coordination of the detailing, scheduling, delivery and costs of products and services.
- Oversee the customer and project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project and adapt schedules and work tasks accordingly.
- Communicate with customers regarding project details involving detailing, fabrication and delivery issues.
- Review rebar shop drawings and direct the revision of drawings as needed.
- Schedule the detailing and delivery of required products and services with the contractor, detailers, and production team.
- Answer customer questions related to assigned projects and resolve any problems that may occur.
- Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the support of the organization.
Requirements
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
- Certification is required in some areas.
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineer, Construction Management, related degree and/or equivalent work experience.
- 4 + years of project management experience.
- 2 + year of rebar project management experience.
- Proficient in math calculations.
- Ability to read & understand structural & architectural drawings.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills combined with the ability to meet deadlines and mult-task in fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of AutoCad
- Basic knowledge of Planswift
- Basic knowledge of ASA
- Excellent customer communication
