About the Role
As a Paid Search Account Executive, you will be responsible for the execution of paid search activity, including keyword research, campaign building, daily governance and optimization, and in-depth data analysis. You will also manage accurate media plans and ensure on-time billing and reconciliations. This role involves developing platform knowledge, collaborating with senior team members on strategy, and continuously seeking opportunities for specialization and departmental training.
Responsibilities
- Execute paid search activity.
- Perform keyword research and campaign building.
- Work with the Global Hub on daily governance and optimization.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis.
- Create accurate media plans.
- Ensure on-time billing and reconciliations.
- Develop platform knowledge and work with senior staff to plan and execute Paid Search strategy.
- Collaborate with the wider department on training and events.
- Support other team members in executing paid search campaigns.
- Ensure adherence to the WPP650 Way for Paid Search.
- Contribute to the development of Paid Search products.
- Utilize available technology, including 1st and 3rd party tools.
- Ensure service level agreements are met and tasks are managed through the project management suite.
- Contribute to client meetings and ongoing client engagement.
- Support the day-to-day QA process for activation, minimizing error and risk.
- Prepare wider client or team deliverables, such as actionable insight reports and reporting.
- Actively participate in the Paid Search community, including internal meetings and WPP Media training.
- Effectively manage paid search campaigns, ensuring timely optimization and performance improvement.
- Plan and execute a best-in-class Paid Search strategy in line with the WPP650 Way.
- Carry out performance analysis, internal data maintenance, issue identification, and solution implementation.
- Perform daily campaign and budget management checks.
- Collaborate with the Global Hub to ensure high standards of daily diagnostics and governance.
- Identify trends and patterns in data, and resolve alerts and anomalies.
- Communicate effectively with line managers, client teams, and client contacts regarding deadlines and deliverables.
- Execute a 'fearless growth' mindset by experimenting and driving client performance.
Requirements
- Self-starter with a desire to succeed and push boundaries.
- Interest in digital marketing, specifically Paid Search and Cross-Platform campaign formats.
- Analytical mindset coupled with creativity.
- Completed certifications in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
- Affinity for numbers and basic data analysis knowledge.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel & PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work as part of a group.
- Proactive with the confidence to question the status quo.
- Ability to focus on causation, not just correlation, and make insights actionable.
- Immaculate attention to detail.
