About the Role
Entwicklungsingenieur Digitale Hardware (m/w/d) is needed to contribute significantly to the development and integration of innovative modules for high-performance, directional radio communication systems. This role involves designing and developing the digital components of radio devices, including selecting and integrating digital components and interfaces to analog hardware.
Responsibilities
- Significant participation in the development and integration of innovative modules for high-performance, directional radio communication systems
- Conception and development of the digital components of radio devices, including selection and integration of digital components and interfaces to analog hardware
- Schematic creation and simulation, as well as supervision of circuit layout using modern CAE tools
- Verification and validation of circuit performance through measurements and tests – from the characterization of individual components to system integration
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with experts from system engineering, software development, and electrical and mechanical design, as well as with customers to ensure successful system integration
Requirements
- Completed degree in electrical engineering with a focus on communication/information technology or equivalent
- Several years of professional experience in the development of digital hardware
- Practical experience in implementing complex hardware designs with FPGAs, SoCs, DDR Memory, High-Speed Digital Interfaces, and Power Supply into manufacturable modules
- Experience in commissioning, testing, and verification of hardware modules using measuring equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators
- Experience in FPGA development and good knowledge of VHDL are advantageous
- Experience with receivers, RF front-ends, and communication systems is advantageous
- Very careful, structured, and responsible way of working
- High team spirit, quick comprehension, and strong communication skills
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
