About the Role
We are looking for a Development Engineer Digital Firmware/FPGA (m/f/x) - Radio Communication Systems to join our expert team at a client in the radio and communication industry. Responsibilities
- Significantly involved in the development and integration of innovative modules for our high-performance, directional radio communication systems.
- Conceive and develop the digital components of our radios, including the selection and integration of digital components and interfaces to analog HW.
- Create and simulate schematics and manage circuit layout using modern CAE tools.
- Verify and validate circuit performance through measurements and tests, from component characterization to system integration.
- Work interdisciplinarily with experts from system engineering, software development, electrical and mechanical design, and with customers to ensure successful system integration.
Requirements
- Completed degree in electrical engineering with a focus on communication/telecommunications engineering or comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in digital hardware development.
- Practical experience in implementing complex hardware designs with FPGAs, SoCs, DDR Memory, High-Speed Digital Interfaces, and Power Supply into manufacturable modules.
- Experience in commissioning, testing, and verification of hardware modules using measuring equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators.
- Experience in FPGA development and good knowledge of VHDL are advantageous.
- Experience with receivers, RF front-ends, and communication systems is advantageous.
- Very careful, structured, and responsible way of working.
- High teamwork ability, quick comprehension, and strong communication skills.
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
