About the Role
You will lead international, business-critical IT projects, manage the SAP SD landscape of a global pharmaceutical group, and act as a liaison between business and technology to create real impact. This role involves driving the implementation of SAP solutions, managing external integrators, and harmonizing global business processes within a 130-year-old company whose Berlin hub often implements pilot projects for over 140 countries.
Responsibilities
- Lead international, impactful IT projects using standardized methods, from requirements to implementation.
- Drive the introduction of the SAP solution with a focus on SD modules, including managing system integrators for configuration, maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Manage the demand management process, overseeing the capture, review, approval, and implementation of cost-effective solutions.
- Translate business requirements into high-quality IT concepts, serving as the link between business needs and technical teams.
- Support initiatives for harmonizing global business processes and systems through strategic enterprise solutions.
- Build functional and cross-country connections, fostering synergies between initiatives and leading projects with significant organizational impact.
- Plan, develop, support, and enhance IT applications, considering new technologies and advising clients on suitable technology.
- Oversee all IT aspects of Sales & Distribution areas, including commissioning maintenance and customizing, and executing projects.
- Select, commission, and manage external service providers for SAP SD solutions, including effort and cost estimation.
- Manage stakeholders and change during project implementation, leading people and processes.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a Project Manager or SAP SD Consultant in complex corporate structures with at least 2 years of experience in a comparable IT role.
- Have significantly shaped at least one company or organization over a period of 2+ years, professionalizing SAP SD projects, processes, or stakeholder relationships.
- Professional experience in the SAP field, particularly in the SD module, with SAP S/4HANA experience being essential.
- Current, hands-on functional expertise in the SAP SD module (SAP S/4HANA), including an understanding of customizing.
- Excellent ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, navigating complex organizations.
- Business-level English (B2) and advanced German language skills (minimum B2).
- Willingness to tackle complex and demanding challenges with commitment.
- High service orientation and commitment to first-class services.
- Willingness to work remotely a maximum of two days per week, with three days on-site in Berlin-Adlershof required.
- Very low and predictable travel requirements.
- Candidates with outdated SD experience (>10 years since last project) are not suitable.
- Candidates expecting more than 2 days of home office are not suitable.
- Individuals without sufficient German or English skills (B2 in both languages is the minimum) are not suitable.
