About the Role

Join icon incar as an IT Operations Specialist in Berlin to support our 3D team by maintaining the render farm, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and resolving technical roadblocks, allowing creative and technical team members to focus on production.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure workstations, user management, drivers, applications, and licenses for end users.
  • Support and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines, monitor the render farm, and maintain the internal Linux prototyping environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Track and manage team assets, ensuring accurate records and efficient resource allocation.
  • Provide timely assistance to users via chat, phone, remote access, or in-person interactions, delivering effective solutions to technical problems.
  • Generate documentation for common procedures and troubleshooting steps within the knowledge base (Confluence/Jira).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of profound work experience in the field.
  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates technical bottlenecks, takes initiative, and escalates complex issues effectively.
  • Advanced Windows knowledge, including analyzing logs, troubleshooting hardware compatibility, and performing network tasks (DNS refresh, VPN, domain joining, remote access setup).
  • Proficient in configuring BIOS settings, swapping hardware components, and optimizing high-performance systems.
  • Excellent communication and reliable teamwork skills, with adaptability to fast-changing requirements.
  • Business-level English communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel between German offices (Berlin, Ingolstadt, Munich, and Wiesbaden) as needed.
  • Office attendance in Berlin is at least 2-3 days per week.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally.
  • Basic Linux knowledge, including navigating Linux environments, managing directories, and installing software from the command line.
