About the Role
The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. This role involves greeting customers, providing product information, and assisting with buying decisions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain counter sales and customer service for firearms.
- Handle floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise.
- Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Handle merchandise with care.
- Provide information, assistance, and direction to customers.
- Identify and evaluate customer needs.
- Make product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and In Store Pick up.
- Ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
- Demonstrate product to customers.
- Organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store for sales at the gun counter.
- Replenish product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
- Remain a product expert through ongoing product knowledge training.
- Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales, pricing, and signing.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Requires a valid NY State Pistol Permit.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 0-2 years of experience in Retail.

- Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition
- Knowledge in ATF Federal and State Regulations
- Customer Service and Sales of Firearms and Ammunition
- GCA
- Ability to Merchandise and Stock Merchandise
