About the Role
The Head of Business Continuity is responsible for leading and delivering Vialto’s global Business Continuity framework, ensuring operational resilience across all jurisdictions. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing business continuity plans, exercises, and governance, and acting as the senior escalation point for all business continuity matters.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead Vialto’s global Business Continuity framework.
- Implement recommendations from external Business Continuity consultants.
- Maintain oversight of business continuity governance and ensure appropriate escalation routes.
- Maintain and develop business continuity plans across all critical functions and jurisdictions.
- Conduct and oversee regular risk assessments and business impact analyses.
- Ensure the firm’s critical functions are identified, assessed, and protected.
- Design and lead an annual programme of business continuity tests and exercises.
- Oversee the Business Continuity Support team in Bangalore in delivering regional desktop reviews and exercises.
- Ensure test findings are escalated appropriately and used to drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design and delivery of business continuity training across the organisation.
- Promote a culture of resilience and preparedness.
- Lead and develop the Business Continuity Support team in Bangalore.
- Partner with the Head of Risk & Compliance, the CCRO, and regional operational leads.
- Act as the senior escalation point for business continuity incidents and emerging threats.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a senior Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, or Risk management role within a complex, global organisation.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing business continuity frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading multi-jurisdictional testing programmes.
- Experience managing or overseeing offshore or regionally distributed teams.
- Relevant Business Continuity qualification (e.g. ISO 22301, BCI certification, or equivalent) is desirable.
- Structured and methodical leader with a strong track record of delivering resilience programmes in complex environments.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior leadership, regional stakeholders, and offshore teams.
- Calm and decisive under pressure, with sound judgement in crisis and incident management situations.
- Collaborative and pragmatic, with high personal integrity and commitment to organisational preparedness.
