About the Role
H2 Christie's International Real Estate is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Contract Manager, Real Estate Operations to support and standardize back-office, compliance, and transactional operations across our offices in Japan, including Tokyo and future expansion markets. This role is instrumental in building a scalable, high-performance luxury real estate brokerage under the prestigious Christie's brand. As a key operational support professional, you will help ensure that our offices deliver consistent, compliant, and efficient support to agents and clients. You will play a pivotal role in integrating systems and processes across locations while driving a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. A key focus of this role is to establish repeatable and standardized contract administration practices across all offices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for contract administration, transaction management, and compliance functions across all offices.
- Take responsibility for contract-related tasks, including pre-contract investigations, contract drafting and management, and procedures through to transaction completion.
- Ensure full compliance with Japanese real estate laws and Christie's International Real Estate brand standards.
- Proactively manage contractual timelines and support risk mitigation.
- Establish, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Support optimal operational performance and service quality across the business.
- Oversee the rollout and adoption of key platforms and tools, including CRM systems, listing platforms, and compliance checklists.
- Drive greater efficiency and scalability through the effective use of technology.
- Support new market entries in line with company growth objectives.
- Assist with licensing procedures, renewals, regulatory preparedness, and related compliance requirements.
- Serve as a key interface with H2 Group's Finance, Legal, and IT departments.
- Coordinate cross-functional support for Tokyo operational goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in real estate operations, preferably in a multi-regional or international setting.
- Strong understanding of Japanese real estate law and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record of implementing scalable operational systems and processes.
- Experience with CRM platforms, digital signature tools, and real estate transaction technologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong project management and change leadership capabilities.
- Japanese proficiency is mandatory; bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese is preferred.
- A valid Real Estate Transaction Specialist licence is required.
