About the Role

The People Partner will provide a proactive, empathetic, and accurate HR service in generalist HR, ER casework, and project work. This role focuses on supporting the organization with Employee Relations and positively influencing employee engagement, working closely with various departments. You will coach and guide line managers on performance management and support the full recruitment cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Review right to work documentation and compliance, escalating any issues.
  • Conduct monthly audit checks for expiring visas and documents, along with government checks to confirm working status.
  • Monitor existing core processes and procedures to ensure a high standard of service and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure all employees receive a 'Welcome to the Team' chat and a 90-day 'Coffee Chat', and thereafter on a regular basis.
  • Support GMs in facilitating quarterly roundtables and provide feedback with recommendations.
  • Ensure all sites have a calendar of employee events and initiatives to recognize and reward employees.
  • Support and advise managers on the probation process.
  • Support in the delivery of disciplinaries, note-taking, and holding investigations.
  • Ensure all non-management receive an Exit Interview and feedback is shared monthly with General Managers, Head Chefs, and Support Office.
  • Maintain and manage House Hero initiatives between regions.
  • Work closely with the People Manager to support and manage employee relations cases such as Performance Management, Absence Management, capability, grievance, and disciplinary.
  • Escalate complex cases to the Head of People Operations.
  • Manage stakeholders including Floor Managers and the wider operation team.
  • Effectively establish and nurture relationships with all employees, measuring and monitoring them to determine if objectives are being met.
  • Support the recruitment function by attending weekly meetings and providing guidance.
  • Maintain Greenhouse adverts and work with sites to fill vacancies.
  • Review and own the internal movement process for employees requesting transfers or stepping into new roles.
  • Map internal development requirements with the Diversity, Learning, and Inclusion teams.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with low level and complex ER cases.
  • Intermediate level proficiency of Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum GCSE C level English.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to switch between a variety of tasks.
  • Efficient and proactive with high attention to detail.
  • Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral skills in English
