About the Role
OpenUp is seeking entrepreneurial, purpose-driven experts to join their mission of making mental well-being accessible. This role focuses on guiding individuals to take control of their personal finances, reduce financial stress, and build healthy money habits through coaching and goal-oriented support. The company offers planned and on-demand video consults, aiming to empower people with clarity and actionable steps towards financial autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Guide clients in setting clear, achievable financial goals.
- Provide meaningful first steps and structured, goal-oriented support.
- Help clients build skills and autonomy to manage their finances independently.
- Engage with a wide variety of people from diverse cultural backgrounds and industries.
- Participate in weekly intervision sessions and ongoing development.
Requirements
- BA degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience providing 1:1 consulting, financial advisory, or coaching on personal finance, budgeting, or financial well-being.
- A UK Level 4 financial planning qualification (CII DipPFS, LIBF DipFA, or CISI Level 4) or an accredited financial coaching qualification (Octopus Money, Wise Monkey FCPC, Certified Financial Coach UK), completed or in progress.
- Strong working knowledge of the UK personal finance landscape.
- Confident guiding clients within the UK personal finance landscape.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Confident in delivering consultations in English.
- Tech-savvy with a self-reliant approach to digital platforms and systems.
- Possess a laptop/computer with Windows 11 OR MacOS Sonoma 14.
- Have an antivirus turned on in your device.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and open to continuous learning.
- A team player who thrives independently.
- Takes ownership of personal and professional growth.
- Able to create a safe, supportive space for clients.
- Act decisively to help clients move forward.
