About the Role
As an Application & Technology Process Engineer, you will develop, analyze, and optimize technological processes for our machines and applications. You will combine in-depth technical understanding with a structured and analytical approach to develop stable, reproducible, and documented processes from customer requirements and technical challenges, making them usable for customer projects and internal knowledge development.
Responsibilities
- Development, optimization, and validation of assembly, bonding, and joining processes on our machines and systems
- Planning, execution, and evaluation of feasibility studies, process trials, and customer applications
- Systematic investigation of process parameters, materials, tools, and influencing factors, and derivation of stable and reproducible process windows
- Evaluation of process results using appropriate measurement, testing, and analysis methods, as well as structured technical documentation
- Technical consulting for our international customers on the implementation of new applications and processes
- Transfer of project results and acquired process knowledge into standards, process descriptions, and reusable solutions
- Close collaboration with design, development, product management, service, and sales, especially for new customer requirements and technological challenges
- Contribution to the expansion of our application and service portfolio, for example in the areas of process development, testing services, and technical feasibility assessment
Requirements
- Completed technical or scientific degree, e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics, microsystems technology, materials science, physics, or comparable qualification
- Strong interest in technological processes and their systematic analysis
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working
- Experience in process development, trial execution, DOE, metrology, or process validation is an advantage
- Ability to prepare and document complex technical contexts understandably
- Independent and responsible way of working
- Enjoyment of practical work with machines, components, and various technologies
- Good communication skills in dealing with customers and internal departments
- Good German and English language skills
- Willingness to undertake occasional international business trips
