About the Role
We are seeking BACP registered or accredited counsellors to volunteer their skills in supporting individuals affected by alcohol and substance use. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant difference in people's lives while adhering to BACP guidelines and our framework for therapeutic safety and clinical governance.
Responsibilities
- Provide counselling within the principles and boundaries of confidentiality.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries in the therapeutic relationship.
- Work within your level of competency.
- Deliver counselling within a time-limited framework.
- Ensure timely records in line with information governance requirements.
- Receive regular clinical supervision and line management.
- Follow policies and procedures, including safeguarding children and adults.
- Understand and follow BACP ethical frameworks and codes of practice.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
