About the Role

The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Casual Receptionist to manage guest check-ins and check-outs, handle inquiries, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Accurately register guests into the hotel and check guests out, maintaining records of transactions.
• Efficiently respond to guest inquiries and communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
• Assist the Shift Leader with miscellaneous tasks, such as checking market codes, passport numbers, and nationality.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring guests' first impressions are of a courteous and professional Reception team.
• Utilize the hotel computer system appropriately based on guest requirements.
• Possess full knowledge of hotel room rates and policies to actively earn revenue.
• Process non-arrival reservations, researching bookings for accuracy.
• Operate the hotel door key system, issuing keys accurately and liaising with Security for guest access issues.

Requirements

• Experience with Opera Cloud/ Opera preferred.
• Confidence in guest interactions.
• Large-scale hotel experience is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills.
• Flexibility and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Capacity to complete tasks within deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask.
