About the Role

We are looking for you to help shape the human rights education of the largest human rights movement. You will network state, private, and civil society actors to improve human rights education, gain new cooperation partners, and expand existing ones.

Responsibilities

• Independently conceptualize, develop, and implement innovative human rights education measures and training offers within the framework of our campaign and educational work for various target groups.
• Contribute expertise on societal conflict situations, civil society engagement, protest movements, and the handling of societal dissent by state and other actors to the further development of our educational work.
• Support the systematization and further development of human rights education formats for existing and new target groups and multipliers.
• Plan, coordinate, and realize educational projects together with civil society organizations, educational providers, institutions, and other cooperation partners.
• Build and expand strategic cooperations and networks to attract new target groups for human rights education.
• Further develop our digital education and learning offers as well as our digital learning platform in terms of content and concept.

Requirements

• A degree in educational sciences, pedagogy, or a comparable field, or comparable practical experience in the education and training sector.
• Experience in the conception and implementation of educational, training, or campaign formats, ideally on the topics of civil society scope for action, social participation, democratic resilience, or related human rights issues.
• Ability to translate complex social and political developments into innovative educational and participation concepts.
• Good knowledge of human rights education in theory and practice, and interest in innovative learning settings.
• Initial experience in designing participatory, diversity-sensitive educational formats.
• Competencies in project management as well as networking and development of strategic cooperations, ideally also in fundraising.
• Experience with digital education tools.
• Goal-oriented, strategic, and conceptual work style.
• Strong solution orientation, creativity, and a high degree of personal responsibility and initiative.
• Tactfulness in coordination with various actors, enthusiasm, and joy in working with volunteers.
• Team player with strong communication skills and a confident demeanor.
• Interest in current political events and core Amnesty concerns.
• Familiarity with the structure and working methods of Amnesty in Germany is a plus.
• Expressive and fluent in German and English.
• Proficient in MS Office.
