About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager, you will take responsibility for a digital product, component, or platform feature set, driving its strategy, roadmap, and backlog in close collaboration with cross-functional squads. You will translate customer value into concrete requirements and lead digital products forward with a focus on technical understanding, data-driven insights, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for creating measurable customer value and sustainable business success through your product.
- Development and continuous evolution of the product strategy as well as derivation of the roadmap, priorities and backlog based on customer needs, data and business objectives.
- Responsibility for digital products, product components or platform elements throughout the product lifecycle – from discovery and validation to delivery and continuous development.
- Translation of customer needs, research findings, data analyses and business objectives into clear product requirements and priorities.
- Coordination of cross-functional squads and close collaboration with Engineering, Design, Data, AI and Business.
- Preparation of decisions through structured analyses, stakeholder briefings and clear recommendations for action.
- Use of product-related and technical KPIs to steer product quality, impact and further development.
- Alignment of dependencies, priorities and delivery status within your product or platform context.
- Contribution to rollouts, scaling and further development of digital products – depending on the area of assignment, also across multiple markets.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Product Management for digital products, platforms or technology-driven services.
- Experience developing or scaling a product component, feature set or larger product area end-to-end.
- Proven ability to make well-founded product decisions, balance competing priorities and take responsibility for product outcomes.
- Entrepreneurial thinking with a clear focus on customer value and business impact.
- A strong understanding of how customer needs, data, technology and business objectives come together to create successful products.
- Experience with backlog management, roadmap planning, requirements, user stories and agile delivery processes.
- Technical affinity and enthusiasm for collaborating with Engineering, Architecture, Data and AI teams as an equal partner.
- Confidence in working with product-related and technical KPIs.
- Ability to structure complexity, set priorities and prepare decisions effectively.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional squads and diverse stakeholders.
- A hands-on mindset: you stay close to the product, data, customer feedback and execution.
- Experience in telco, consumer tech, platform businesses, apps, SaaS, digital commerce or comparable environments is a plus.
- Very good English skills; German language skills are an advantage depending on the role.
