About the Role
Lewisham's Integrated Adolescent Service is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Youth Justice Practitioner to work directly with children involved in, or at risk of entering, the criminal justice system. This role supports those affected by exploitation, trauma, extra-familial harm, and other complex challenges.
Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments
- Develop intervention and safety plans
- Manage risk and safeguarding concerns
- Coordinate multi-agency responses
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to reduce offending and improve wellbeing
- Contribute to court and panel processes through report writing, professional judgement, and partnership working
Requirements
- Professional Certificate in effective practice (P.C.E.P.) or equivalent training/experience including a Youth and Community qualification
- Social work qualification
- Good general education with good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Subject to an enhanced DBS check
- Must complete the application fully
- Supporting statement must cover how the applicant meets each person specification criterion
