About the Role
At Free2Move, data science and analytics are central to our products and decision-making. The analytics team addresses a wide range of impactful topics, from influencing key business decisions and optimizing operations to deploying algorithms that govern critical product aspects. You will join the dedicated Pricing Analytics team, responsible for all pricing-related matters, using expertise in pricing dynamics to build and enhance Machine Learning algorithms for real-time pricing.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to deploy state-of-the-art, real-time pricing algorithms for millions of users.
- Take full ownership of data pipelines within the Pricing Analytics scope.
- Architect and build systems to solve highly complex or vaguely defined problems.
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to lead the design, development, optimization, and productionization of ML and ML-based solutions.
- Manage the infrastructure for the Pricing algorithm and ensure the performance of the pricing ML system.
- Lead cross-team efforts to leverage and scale ML infrastructure for model development, training, and deployment.
- Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, and maintainable production-quality code.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python, with a strong track record of writing clean, modular, optimized code for complex data transformations.
- Significant hands-on experience modeling enterprise Data Warehouses using dbt (including Kimball methodology, dimensional modeling, star schemas, data testing, and data lineage).
- Strong experience with the Databricks ecosystem (Delta Lake, PySpark, Unity Catalog, SQL Endpoints, Serverless compute) and AWS cloud infrastructure (S3, IAM, KMS, DataSync).
- Solid experience writing and orchestrating complex production DAGs using Apache Airflow (or MWAA), managing deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, and working with CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions, Terraform).
- Hands-on experience building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI, or Databricks SQL Dashboards.
- A habit of actively leveraging AI tools (like Claude and Databricks AI features) to accelerate pipeline creation, automate dbt documentation, and write smart PR review guardrails.
- A solid understanding of GDPR requirements, including how to enforce PII masking, access control policies, data retention, and auditing via Unity Catalog.
- An analytical mindset capable of translating complex business requirements into scalable, bulletproof data marts and KPI metrics.
- Preference for simple, efficient, well-tested code over fragile architectures.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders and domain teams (Pricing, Customer, Advanced Analytics).
- Fluency in English (written and oral) is required.
