About the Role
We are establishing a new, 100% German company unit in partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate digital transformation and AI adoption while ensuring the highest data security standards. This new entity will operate a 'Trusted Cloud' under European jurisdiction, offering a broad service portfolio with unparalleled resilience and business continuity, adhering to German and French standards like SecNumCloud, C5, and C3-A. This initiative marks a pivotal moment for the industry and a significant stride towards a robust, sovereign digital Europe.
Responsibilities
- Manage critical IT service incidents throughout their lifecycle, from detection to resolution, ensuring high service availability and SLA compliance.
- Coordinate cross-functional incident response activities and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance readiness.
- Develop, standardize, and optimize incident management processes and methodologies for highly available cloud and IT services.
- Ensure transparent, audience-appropriate communication during critical incidents and generate reports on service quality, SLIs, SLOs, and SLA performance.
- Conduct root cause analyses post-incident, derive sustainable improvement measures, and track their implementation to bolster operational resilience.
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Incident Management.
- Proven experience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methods and best practices in highly available, scalable cloud environments.
- Experience conducting post-mortem analyses and creating effective action reports for sustainable process and system improvements.
- Knowledge of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and its application in supporting and automating incident management and analysis processes.
- In-depth operational and administrative knowledge of cloud services, particularly Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
