About the Role
We are looking for someone to grow our supporter base and turn it into genuine engagement. As Community Growth Lead, you will be responsible for the technical and strategic infrastructure of our organizing efforts. You will build funnel structures to acquire new newsletter subscribers, develop automated journeys, and ensure community members become active supporters. You think in terms of data, processes, and scalability, while understanding the importance of political momentum and how to translate it into activation.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and develop our CRM and funnel structures.
- Conceptualize and implement automated digital journeys (e.g., ManyChat, email flows, chatbots).
- Develop activation funnels that convert reach into concrete participation (from sign-up to action or donation).
- Continuously test, evaluate, and optimize campaigns using data (A/B tests, conversion analysis).
- Content management and technical development of community channels (newsletter, WhatsApp, broadcasts, etc.), including independent writing of copy for journeys, broadcasts, and funnel steps.
- Close coordination with the organizing and content teams to translate reach into sustainable mobilization structures.
- Introduce new tools, automations, and technical trends from digital campaigning.
Requirements
- A feel for list growth: You recognize momentum, know how to draw people into a funnel, and keep them digitally motivated.
- Practical experience with automation tools (e.g., ManyChat, N8N/Zapier/Make, newsletter tools) and enjoyment in building user journeys yourself.
- Experience with growth and marketing tools (Meta Business Suite, Airtable, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, or database systems).
- Strong analytical understanding: You enjoy reading data, drawing conclusions, and optimizing systematically.
- Experience in lifecycle/funnel marketing, marketing automation, or growth marketing, ideally in a political or social context.
- Affinity and ability to independently learn new digital tools.
- A feel for political discourse – you understand which topics and tone work in our context.
- Interest in using technical know-how for political mobilization.
- Experience with project management and team communication tools like Trello or Slack.
- High degree of personal responsibility, structured way of working, and enjoyment of teamwork.
- Good writing and German language skills.
- Availability as soon as possible and near full-time (35h+), but still apply if you are available later.
