About the Role
Wise is seeking a Design Director to lead designers, content designers, and researchers within the High Volume team. This role involves owning the vision and strategy for design, removing friction and unpredictability in financial transactions, and automating/simplifying large-volume transactions. The position is hands-on, requiring direct involvement in projects to build systems, servicing experiences, and financial products for high-value customers at scale.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to provide unified leadership for High Volume, setting vision and strategy.
- Own the design strategy for High Volume, shaping the design agenda across personal and business segments.
- Stay hands-on by working directly on a small number of projects each quarter to set creative and craft standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop designers across product design, content design, and research.
- Integrate AI into the team's design workflow and operational practices.
- Create vision that influences the High Volume roadmap and senior leadership perspectives.
- Collaborate with other Design Directors to create a seamless customer experience across Wise products.
- Evangelize the High Volume design strategy across the tribe and wider business.
