About the Role
In this role, you will drive individual business development initiatives for new businesses within the Next Generation Business Division, such as new products like Wanderland. Your responsibilities will include partner and market research, deal structuring and negotiation, and contract finalization and launch. You will be responsible for bringing individual projects and partnerships within new businesses to fruition. Initially, you will start with a small number of projects and gradually expand your scope of responsibility as you achieve results. In the future, this position can evolve into a role with responsibility for the P&L, and for those interested, into a team management position overseeing resource acquisition, execution planning, and healthy team operations.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze markets, competitors, and potential partner companies for assigned businesses.
- Assist in the development of business models (pricing, packaging, revenue logic) for assigned initiatives in collaboration with managers.
- Support the discovery, negotiation, and execution of specific partnerships (content/IP, stores/partners, distribution, technology vendors, etc.) from initial contact through contract and launch.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (partners, Product, Engineering, Legal, Sales) to advance projects within assigned initiatives.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of experience in business development, business planning, or strategic partnerships.
- Skills in document, spreadsheet, and slide creation (ability to create deliverables that drive decision-making, structure ambiguous information, and formulate proposals in writing).
- AI literacy: Daily use of the latest AI technologies and tools (e.g., generative AI) to maximize productivity in research, planning, and project execution. Simultaneously, understand their limitations and verify outputs rather than accepting them at face value.
