About the Role
In this role, you will oversee one or more business lines for new ventures within the Next Generation Business Division, such as new products like Wanderland. You will be responsible for building business models that generate revenue from new products, acquiring content, store/partner, distribution, and technology partnerships to support them, and forming a BD team to execute these initiatives. - Acquire content, store/partner, distribution, and technology partnerships.
- Form and manage a BD team.
- Take ownership of revenue plans for assigned businesses, including business model design, pricing, packaging, and numerical responsibility.
- Identify, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships (content/IP holders, stores/partners, distribution partners, technology vendors) from initial contact to contract and launch.
- Form and manage a BD team, including hiring, goal setting, and development.
- Act as a business representative for the product roadmap, structuring market and partner insights to present to Product/Engineering and influence development priorities.
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives (Legal, Finance, Sales, etc.) for new business market launches.
- Build underdeveloped business foundations, including pipeline management, partner reporting, and deal governance.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in business development, business planning, or strategic partnerships, with at least 2 years of people management experience.
- Proven track record of owning and driving the launch of business lines or new ventures with revenue responsibility (experience solely in strategy planning or planning is not sufficient).
- Experience negotiating and closing complex external partnerships, including those with novel or uncertain deal structures and negotiations with executive management.
- Startup-like proactive and positive mindset, with the flexibility to work on tasks regardless of familiarity, scope, or duration, driven by the company's growth and mission.
- AI literacy: Continuously track AI technology and player trends, and regularly use AI tools to improve personal and team output. Understand current limitations and critically evaluate AI outputs before finalizing.
