About the Role

This role supports Newham's ambition to deliver outstanding, data-driven services for residents by providing end-to-end stewardship of Adult Social Care and Health information. You will turn complex data into actionable insight to support service improvement, transformation, statutory compliance, and CQC assurance. You will also represent Newham on the ADASS Performance Network and other forums.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end stewardship of Adult Social Care and Health information.
  • Ensure data is accurate, meaningful, and used effectively to improve resident outcomes.
  • Turn complex data into actionable insight supporting service improvement, transformation, statutory compliance, and CQC assurance.
  • Represent Newham on the ADASS Performance Network and other forums.
  • Lead on performance reporting, data quality, statutory returns, and analytical deep-dives.
  • Help managers understand demand, performance, outcomes, and emerging risks.
  • Support inspection readiness, transformation programmes, and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Experienced analyst with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about using data to improve services and outcomes for residents.
  • Experience analyzing, interpreting, and presenting complex information from various sources (operational, financial, performance, demographic).
  • Confident producing meaningful reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to translate technical information into clear insight for managers, senior leaders, and partners.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, information management, and GDPR requirements.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience with the production of statutory returns.
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships across services.
  • Ability to support managers in using performance information to drive improvement.
  • Motivated by using evidence and intelligence to help services continually improve support for residents.
